Call Completion

From the point of view of the person trying to make a phone call, being diverted to voicemail if their call cannot be connected is not always the right solution.  The Call Completion application enables operators to offer callers a richer choice of what they want to happen instead (with voicemail being just one option).  The list of available options depends on the reason the call isn’t connected.  If there is only one available option then this is automatically used, otherwise the list is played to the caller who can then choose their preference.

The options available may also depend on whether or not the calling party is on-net, and on the capabilities of the calling and called parties’ phones.
