Caller Identification

For incoming calls with no CLI presented, the calling party is asked to record a message to identify themselves.  The service then dials the called party, and plays them the recorded message.  The called party can then decide how they want to handle the call – simply ending the call if required, or using keypad entry to accept the call or to select alternative options.

If the CLI is available to the system (but marked as restricted so it isn’t presented to the called party) then system can optionally store the callers identifying message for the next time they call.  In this case the caller is played their previous message and asked to accept it or re-record another message.
