Flash SMS

This application attempts to deliver SMS messages during the phase at which they are submitted to the network from the originating subscribers handset.

The application immediately attempts to deliver the message (whether this is on net or off-net) if immediate delivery is not possible (because the destination is switched off or not connected for example) then the message is submitted to the SMSC for storage and subsequent delivery attempts.

In addition to increasing the utility and quality of service (which can help attract and retain subscribers and help increase service usage and ARPU) this application also reduces the number of messages submitted to the SMSC – creating a potential licence cost saving.
